Dry Cooling
Dry Cooling can be utilized where a site or application may have issues with water supply and / or plume from standard evaporative cooling towers.
Dry coolers require higher capital investment and increased electrical consumption when compared to evaporative cooling towers, however there are no water usage costs.
On small installations a dry cooler can offer the simplest installation and management choice for cooling.
Adiabatic cooling humidifies the air passing accross the cooling coil thereby increasing the cooling efficiency of the standard dry cooler.
Benefits of dry cooling
- No water consumption and no water treatment.
- No visible plume compact simplified design with greater degree of prefabrication in workshop.
- Units can handle higher inlet temperatures.
- Outstanding corrosion protection.
- A separated loop whereby the coolant is not in contact with the atmosphere
Each application needs to be carefully considered before the correct cooling solution is decided upon.
